This has grown really hateful....Debate the points, gentlemen, the issues...we could spend days arguing about Bush, Clinton, Bush daddy, Reagan, Carter, Nixon, Johnson, hell, maybe even Kennedy...the fact remains none of them are going to play a part going forward, and we need change, reform, whatever you want to call it...say your piece on November 4th, do it proudly, then shake hands, have a beer to toast the privelege we have of being able to choose, and pray to Christ the person we put in there has the nuts to get it done moving forward...Because if he doesn't, we're toast, with the crusts scorched..

Life is simple, spend less than you make and rely only on yourself... I hope you make a bunch of money and money is nice but so many more things are important to me than labor issues and money.

Frankly after the whole deregulation thing with Carter and all I can't see how a teamster could ever vote for a Democrat but thats your choice.
Jeff, you're throwing things in here that have nothing to do with what I just said. I said nothing about voting for a Democrat. Surely you know by now my opinion of all these politicians. I hate the parties, they are ruining this country. But you made a curious statement about money not being all that important. That is just ridiculous. Of course there are more important things like ones family and his religion. But money is still necessary. And if someone doesn't have enough of it to survive, then everything else is impossible. If you were a refugee in someplace like Africa and you were starving, you wouldn't have much time to think about anything else. But if you had enough money to at least survive, then you could consider other things. So I just think your statement was idealistic and unrealistic.

Larry pay off everything and live within your means and then come back and tell me money how important money is.

If you have a warm place to sleep and food to eat everyday , you are richer than 75% of the people in the whole world.

People making 80k a year that are hurting for money I have no sympathy for. I have no idea who you are voting for Larry, that's your choice, and I am sorry if I labeled you a democrat, but hey, I don't dislike real democrats, I dislike Liberal socialistic views that will kill this country.

If you are retired, you are much older and wiser than I am but I just believe in living simple and modest, I live within my means, don't buy it unless it's with cash. Know the difference between wants and needs and planned for the economy to be like this one day.... but now people just like me have to bail out all the people who mostly chose to live their lives like Drunken liberals on government loans and people like me are the ones who are gonna have to pay for it.

What did you pay everything off with?

And I, too, have lived a modest and frugal life. I will agree with you that there are way, way too many people who are living well beyond their means, living on credit, acting like they are rich. This is such a shallow, meaningless existence. But I don't believe they are predominantly liberal or Democrat. On the contrary, I find more of them to be exactly the opposite. Either way, you're right, we are going to pay for their greed and folly. Hank Paulson, Bush's slimeball man, is seeing to that with the help of Barney Frank, Christopher Dodd, etc. I hate 'em all, they're a bunch of scum.

I dislike liberal, socialist views, also. Just as much as I dislike right-wing, discriminatory screw the middle class views.

If Obama gets elected, Kiss your 401k plans good buy. The government will take over YOUR money and most likely put it into social security. Its part of spreading the wealth. I suggest that everyone looks into this since this topic will not help his campaign and will not be mentioned until after November.
