You people keep alluding to The Fairness Doctrine as a bad thing... Do you prefer to just hear lies and spin, or opinion that only supports your ideological views...? The Fairness Doctrine does not prohibit, or dictate programming. It only says other views must be heard as either, news, public service announcements, opinion/editorial... Hearing both sides to a story is generally considered to be the intelligent approach to decision making, don't you agree?

So how would the fairness doctrine apply to television or radio if a show like SNL can use their time to try and sway elections via comedy bits.
