I don't have a problem with any political views being broadcast. I have a problem with people like Dan Rather holding up fake documents and reporting it as breaking news.

It's not one size fits all. If entertainers like Oprah Winfrey, Howard Stern and Rush Limbaugh can draw a large audience, then so be it. Oprah is liberal and a supporter of Obama. Rush is conservative and a supporter of McCain. Whats the difference?
Again these are entertainers, they don't hide their views. They have their shows because people watch/listen to them and they can sell advertising to support them.

Dan Rather resigned when he found out it was fake. You're party are not innocent little victims of the media. They just suck in general.

Dan Rather was forced to resign under pressure. I am not the one calling for the Fairness Doctrine. Let the market decide. There seems to be a few on this board that feel conservative talk should be banned from the airwaves. Would you also include NPR and Air America Radio which is liberal leaning?

Arby you keep defending the "fairness doctrine" fine let's have it but let it apply across the board , include into it not only talk radio but let's include all media outlets including the alphabet channels all the print media and all the left wing blogs.

Now you know as well as we do those are excluded from the wording of the proposal why is that? Because they are afraid of actually having to give equal time to the likes of Rush where some semblance of the truth might be revealed. I am not saying everything that the right might have to say is the truth just as we all know and some are still in denial about when they tried to pass everything off that the left has to say, that is why you see the decline in viewer ship of the main Stream media and the decline in the print industry because more and more people are realizing that what they are putting out is not at all factual or unbiased any longer.

One thing in the euphoria you might be having at the moment that you do not recognize is that the popular vote was not overwhelmingly for Obama and that he was back peddling in his speech last night.

For now enjoy the honeymoon period because the realitys will set in soon to what was actualy layed upon the doorstep of the American people soon and many will find it a very bitter pill that they did not ecpect.

My first question is? will he allow the Bush tax cuts to sunset (2010) or will he repeal them. Thus breaking is campaign promise of a tax cut for 95% of working Americans. That "working" has only been in the speech for about 1 month.

Internet blogs are the downfall of the paper media. Broadcast media organizations are doing just fine. It appears many people do not want to engange in truth or discussion, but rather only want to hear opinion that supports their views. Opinion is not news, nor does it generally advance the discussion with respect to truth - it's just opinion.

We'll see in time... And, when you're the benefactor, will you deny the benefits?
