Shortly after Ohio’s statewide smoking ban took effect, the Ohio Department of Health formed a group to write enforcement rules and OTA President Larry Davis became a member of that committee. Davis brought numerous trucking problems with the ban to the table, which resulted in some important clarifications. These proposed rules are currently on the health department’s website at
www.odh.ohio.gov and public comments are invited through January 11th, 2007.
