The Maryland State Highway Administration says salt spreaders have been out all night, across the state, to prevent a wintry mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain from freezing on the roads.Spokeswoman Sandra Dobson says the agency is using nearly 1,900 pieces of equipment, close to the full contingent of machinery.
