Arrow House Democratic study criticizes turnpike lease
A Pennsylvania House Democratic study says leasing the Pennsylvania Turnpike poses major risks and is likely to result in considerably higher tolls.The study obtained by The Associated Press says the billions in upfront payments could be too tempting for the General Assembly. It predicts lawmakers may one day want to spend some of the cash on projects other than just roads, bridges and mass transit.
