A motorist has been convicted of drunken driving and fleeing the scene of a crash that killed a Kiel woman who was months away from graduating with high honors from Marian College.Authorities say 28-year-old Jeffrey Niesen of Howards Grove had a blood-alcohol level more than three times the legal limit when his vehicle hit the car driven by 21-year-old Tori Heimann on Feb. 11, 2007. She was waiting for traffic at a stop sign in the Calumet County town of New Holstein.
