Local legislators pushed state officials for more progress on improving safety on Route 9 Wednesday while also acknowledging that positive steps have already been taken during a meeting at the Bennington Town Office.
Legislators have met twice now, including an initial meeting in May in Montpelier, with state and law enforcement officials regarding the steep, winding Route 9 in Woodford.
