A new computer model will help Frederick County planners know just what impact a new shopping center or subdivision could have on nearby roads. The roughly $13,000 software is part of the county's effort to expand its transportation planning, said Eric Soter, director of the Frederick County Planning Division. In October, the county hired its first transportation planner, John Thomas. The division is seeking an entry-level planner.
