The US Department of Transportation Monday announced a grant of $1.37 million for Albany, the money to be used to support improvements of traffic safety information. “This funding is an important investment in Albany’s transportation and infrastructure," said Senator Charles Schumer. “Keeping our residents safe is a top priority and an important way of doing that is to monitor our traffic system and make sure our records are up to date. I will continue to fight for funds that protect our residents.”
