 Truck stop employees help trucker's arrest

SMITHTON, Pa. (AP) - A truck driver is in custody in Pennsylvania, accused of sexually assaulting a runaway teenage girl during a cross-country trip.
Police say the 15-year-old girl told a waitress Saturday at a truck stop southeast of Pittsburgh that she had left her California home without her mother's knowledge and was driven across the country by a trucker.
Employees at the truck stop were able to stall the man until police arrived.
A waitress says she helped the crying girl hide and let her call her mother while other workers at the truck stop pretended to help the driver look for the girl.
The driver has been charged with indecent assault, corruption of minors and unlawful contact with a minor.
