NEW YORK — Shares of trucking companies trended generally higher on Thursday after a Wachovia Capital Markets analyst upgraded several names in the sector, saying investor sentiment toward the industry may have finally hit bottom and created a buying opportunity.
Analyst Justin B. Yagerman said investors should start taking positions in the sector, as shares of carriers typically rebound ahead of the broader economy.
