Default Trucker Strike Starts April 1st!

A national trucker strike will start April 1st. I was browsing the news threads and can't believe I didn't see anything about it. It's less than a week away so plan to shut your rig down for the week and let's get something done about these crazy fuel costs and the compensation never getting around to who its supposed to.

For me the stike isn't optional. I own my own rig and haven't driven it for a month, cuz everytime I start the engine I lose money! About the only way I could make money with my rig right now is to sell it! Don't wanna do that but might have to if it doesn't get better soon.

Here's a news article about the strike starting April 1st 2008.

Go ahead and sell it then because there wont be a strike! Hopefully your "rig" is paid for! You must be a newbie if your counting on a strike to save ya!!!

Here is a hint. Quit hauling cheap freight and get paid for all your miles. That will help you more than parking your tractor!

i think it has to do with being either with the right broker or doing the brokering themselves. then too, the smart o/o will run efficently, not wasting time or money at the truckstops, and keep his truck in good "tune" including tire pressures and clean air/fuel filters and proper throttle management, and proper shifting.
