I am not upset but should I do this website for free and pay out of my pocket to operate it out of the kindness of my heart Zoots? Would you?

Jeff what you do with your time and money is something only you can decide. I currently still have a couple servers online so I know how much of an expense this can be. It would be nice to have others foot the bill.

There are a dedicated bunch of regulars who do but its only an option for those who want to support the website, I pushed it at first but then stopped because either way (receiving advertising or Premium membership) supports the website. There will always be people who block advertising and I am not going to force people into advertising by hard coding.

As long as I am able to cover the costs associated with this website, I don't give it too much thought either way

Ok, well thats a good way to look at it. Again I was not trying to get anything started I was just seeing what others thought.

The only way to get the bill paid is by traffic.... I have my Raiders Website "raiderfans.org" and it makes virtually nothing and never has.

This website used to make pretty good when the economy was good, but since it went down the tubes, the income here is down probably 50%, still in the black but way down.

But as I said earlier, as long as it does not cost me anymore out of pocket, I don't give it too much thoughts in hope the site will continue to grow as time goes along.

As far as the infolinks... they have months where they actually generate as much as half a server bill, had to drop vibrant because they dealt with the auto industry and when that went to hell in a hand basket, their revenues dropped to pennies a day and it wasn't worth it. I look at all ads just like everyone, I don't force people to look at something I don't
