I just wanted some advice and/or tips on how to get hired as a driver at UPS. I went online and applied a couple months that was for an opening that said for future openings. Now it has been 60+ days and I went to check on my app. and it now longer in the system. They never emailed or phoned be about the position. I don't know if the positons were filled or what. I'm not sure how long in the future does future openings mean. Now they only thing they have open in my area are alot of part-time cdl dockworkers future openings. I'm current OTR and I don't know if I should apply for those positions and if I get the job take it and will that help me obtain a full time driver position later since I will be already working at UPS. Or should go to the terminals in my area and speak to someone in person about full-time driver openings. Or do I have to wait until another opening becomes available on the web and apply through the web again. It doesn't seem that their are ever too many driver opp. in my area on the UPS site. (atlanta, ga) If anyone has any tips on how to get hired or at least an opportunity to work as a driver as UPS that would be great.
