Food for thought
When YRC bought USF I thought what would they want with us? The only thing I could think of was that our majority was non Union and YRC could use USF as a form of leverage untill the new contract was signed. Before you say "there is no way USF could move all of Roadway's and Yellows freight in the event of a strike" I allready know that, but they could move alot of it if certain accounts were dropped. But then came the twist, USF starts going Union. Now the contract has been agreed to, and YRC has 3 Union carriers and more capacity than they know what to do with.I belived then and now even more that USF was nothing more than a pawn, that as of now has little if any use to YRC other than draining the bank account. It was not just a coincidence that as soon as the agreement was reached 27 USF terminals are closed, and more will come.
