BENTONVILLE Every toothpick, can opener and cotton ball takes a long and arduous journey to end up on Wal-Mart shelves around the world.
The process is complicated and confusing at best, but it runs like clockwork.
At the base of that process is Wal-Marts private fleet of 8,600 drivers, 44,500 trailers and 950 million miles driven just in 2005 alone.
