I've already applied and was called today but the job offer was for part-time work out of Menonmonie, WI.
I'm excited to have been offered the opportunity but I currently have a fulltime job with a major LTL carrier with great pay and benefit package, but I do not like this company and how they treat people.

They said they are hiring for Friday, Saturday and Sunday work right now but that (for instance), the current part-time drivers are actually working near full-time hours although that cannot be guaranteed.

My question to any of you drivers (that may be willing to help?) is...
What can I expect for starting pay?

Also, is there any health care coverage for my family (that I could pay out of pocket). They told me as a part-time employee, only I would have benefits (as opposed to full-time status where the entire family gets coverage). I just wondered if I could pay additional to have my wife and kid on the health plan?

I'm really scared to leave my benefits package for an opportunity that may eventually pan out for me, but "what if?"

Man!! I'm between a rock and a hard place!!!
