Default Tales from the 10 minute nap

    I 95 nb,Conn.
I am getting a little sleepy and know its time for a quick nap
I am a very good napper
I pull into the New London scale and pull over on the left
The highway is actually higher than the scale at this point.
I nod off and start dreaming that I ran off the road
    I wake up
There are trucks wizzing by me ..but above me
I RAN OFF THE ROAD !
    I RAN OFF THE ROAD!
do I jump out the window?
Scared the living daylights out of me
I wonder what my BP was that day

I don't stop there any more

How about parking on Ramps (no, not the wild Onions), and being at a steep angle leaning to the right because it's typical, one sleeps for a bit and wakes up suddenly thinking one is rolling over?
Happened to me quite a bit especially when rather exhausted.
Then there's the lean to the Left......or waking up in a twuck stop with REEFERS, REEFERS, EVERYWHERE!!

    Oh the joys of Trucking!!

I was having a steering wheel nap behind another truck on the ramp with its trailer lights on. I was dreaming with my eyes open (is that even possible?) that I was`about to rearend the truck in front of me. I was wildly pumping the break pedal and what finally woke me up was the low air warning buzzer.

Here's a practical joke to play on a buddy[be sure he has a sense of humor] see him sleeping over the wheel, pull slightly ahead of him, put your tractor in high reverse hit your horn and go backwards passing in reverse,He'll think he's moving ,watch him try to stop his parked truck! cruel, but funny.
