Default Dot Physical and Drug Screen

Was wondering how intense the drug screen is. I am going to be attending school in 2 1/2 weeks. I have used some cocaine 3-5 times a week for the last 2 months and quit using 10 days ago. I purchased a home drug test kit and tested negative. should I still be concerned with the DOT test or am I good to go? Any help besides the usual "quit using" comments would be appreciated.

I'm not even a driver yet, but I have need to add my .02. If you're not quitting cocaine permanently. You shouldn't even think about driving this moving weapon, even if you do come up clean!!! Are you serious?

I don't know if 10 days is a good enough indicator in this industry. For what i hear, trucking isn't easy and can wear on your patience. Having a setback could be easy. I hope you have a will of steel.

Yeah it is right now, but how do you know it will stay that way? We have lots of sober drivers who shouldn't even be driving a moped, IMO. Keep in mind that if you use or booze in a rig, that's it for life. Should some car driver make a mistake and you are using, you lose no matter who was at fault. Here is a question you need to ask yourself: can I stay clean when I am on vacation or off for a few days? If the answer is "I don't know", you have a problem. Whatever you decide to do, I wish you good luck and safe driving.
