    Default another question

ok i am still considering options and was wondering what you all think the average expenses while on the road will be for some one starting out, i am ok living lean as i am used to it but i gotta eat and be clean just looking for more info thanks all.

oh and ps i have been reading the post for the last couple weeks on here and i gotta say i certainly have more respect for what you all have to put up with on the road and have been noticing how much idiotic driving is done here in phoenix.

Depends on how much ya eat lol. Going to the grocery store and grabbing some non perishable food cuts down on expenses. Keeping a refrigerator helps with stuff ya wanna keep cold, but dont buy the food unless you know you are going to eat it all before it spoils. I make it on 100 bucks a week, that includes my soda's, coffee, food and cigarettes. You will get a "ticket" for a free shower from the truck stop when you fuel up your truck. If you are showering somewhere else get on the radio and see if anyone has a shower they wanna give away, if not, thats usually around 10 bucks to shower.

Try not to buy anything from a truckstop (except fuel of course). You'll find the same items cheaper at Wally world and the like.
Sign up for the free frequent fueler cards the truckstop chains offer. Most will give you a penny for every gallon you put on. Those pennys add up fast and you can use that for things in the truckstop store if you must, or they can be used for food from whatever fast food chain is attached to the truckstop, if you must. I've gotten C.B. radios, inverters, CD's, using my "points". It's "free" money. Plus the card also will store your free shower on it (you get a free shower with a minimum of 50 gallons) for several days.
