Default xata or xatanet please help asap

i am being badgerd about idle time, get it down they say. funny thing is i never let the truck idle. now the other night i had to go relieve a driver that had ran out of hours. i logged in started the truck and drove straight back to the yard with out stoping. it took 1hr and 45min, the xata report red flaged me and said, i had stopped for 12min, and that i had idled for 11min. it said 90% idle time for that trip how the hell do i defend myself with this crap. i have been logging on a tablet for the last 3 weeks each time the truck starts and moves and when the truck stops key off. but my boss thinks the xata is on the money

I dont know what xata or xatanet is but I would run a paper log if the company had computer logs running. Just for my own defense in case of emergency!

We use xata at work, and I would guess your boss is reading the reports incorrectly, to my knowledge the only time it goes into idle time is when the tractor parking brake is applied, and the truck is running, it may have a report line that shows idling not moving like at stop lights, if your not letting it run like you say, he's not reading something right.

my normal run is 2 turns a night pulling 2 sets of pups, about 340 mile trip. the avg time driving is 6hrs and stop time 2-3 hrs. the problem is the other 4 shuttle drivers are much lower than me regardless of what truck i drive, the only exception is when i pull a single both ways then it's no idle time at all. please help me, my job is on the line if i keep looking like i'm idling. this is all so crazy! i am a long term employee of 20+ yrs. just a note if you guys dont think idle time affects you, this will be federal law in the very near future. idle laws are iminent.

If things are as you say they are, offer to have the boss ride along with you for one trip. Then he can compare what this read out says compared to what he witnessed.
