Pilot to phase out truck stops

KNOXVILLE, TENN

Pilot Corporation(NYSE) has announced the phase out of their truck stop operations.
" We have always wanted to phase out the trucking aspect of our operations and concentrate on an auto travel center and convenience store. We have some very expensive real estate to have it occupied by trucks overnight.
Wendy's as well as Pizza Hut have expressed intrest in our property. We will be phasing out all of our Middle Atlantic Truck centers and replacing them with Super Auto Centers by Jan 2010"
