"Ok, yall know what our boy looks like. I doubt if he will go with a disguise. He don't want no confusion in there"
G explains as they study the picture from the boat e-mailed earlier by Ricky. "And remember your text message codes. No talking.
Ninemil, we gonna let you out a block early so you can amble your bum lookin self on down there.
LTD, I want you in there about fifteen minutes ahead of them so you can order and be in place.
And make sure you sit with a view to the hallway leading to the restrooms.
Done had that checked out. It goes out to a back door. If he gets goofy Ninemil will be out back waitin on him.
James, you gonna be right behind the wheel and Skinnyman I want you wid me. Just follow my lead"

In the back

Fifteen minutes to wait. Round in the chamber. Safety on. Cocked and locked. Check the money in the magazine.
Check it again. Have a smoke. Or two. Nervous. Waiting.
Where did that guy come from? Just an old bum I suppose. Big old loose jacket. Hat pulled down low.
Something is not right about him though. But what?
He's all stooped and moving slow, but...but what? Don't worry about it son. Focus on what you have to do. Just be cool.
Have to send the text when I leave the truck.
G expects me to round the corner forty seconds later. Time to move. As I get close to the old bum it hits me.
He is not as he seems. Clothes are clean.
What skin I can see is too smooth. Then I get it. A disguise. To the casual passerby he is just some old vagrant.
Most people look over someone like that, not at him.
No officer, didn't get a good look is what a witness would say. Then he turns and gives me a wink and a sly grin. And I recognize Ninemil.
LTD is seated inside with a disguise of his own. Loose fitting Dallas Cowboy jersey to downplay his muscular build. Hat to cover his shaven head.
No flashy jewlery, no tats. Just your average sports fan enjoying some wings and a pitcher of iced tea.

In the front

"There comes our badboy, just like I figured" G tells his crew as Chad leaves the gift shop next door and heads into the restaurant.
"Yo boss" says James. James rarely speaks but it's always meaningful.
"What is it James?" G answers.
"That car just pulled up? Well that girl, she be the one in dat picture from da boat." he explains.
"Well, well. So it is. And who might that rough looking dude with her be? Poor old Chad.
He probly done tole that ho 'Just wait here and daddy will be back in a flash. With the cash'.
Bout time he's out da door, ole back door dude here comes out da closet and here they be. Just keeps gettin better"

"Why didn't they just wait back at the motel, when Chad comes back, pop him there, get the money and go"

Bleep...bleep...bleep. A series of texts informed G that both parties are seated and the exchange has taken place.
During the lull, G takes the opportunity to free text Ninemil informing him of the change of plans, telling him that he will be riding in the big truck with Ricky.
G figures if Chad gets hip to being followed and tries to double back, an eighteen wheeler crossways in the highway would make a fine roadblock.

"I hope you choke on it" Ricky says through gritted teeth as he slides the SI magazine across the table.
"Now,now Ricky, don't be such a spoilsport. It's so unbecoming of you. Glad you saw fit to cooperate.
Now let's just enoy our meal like two mature adults and put this whole affair behind us"
"I hope you get some uncurable STD from that skank and die a lonely, painful, horrible death" Ricky growled.
"Oh Ricky, don't be such a poor loser. Maybe if you weren't such a barbarian, her hotness would still be in your lap with her tongue in your ear.
Oh, and that spanking thing? She said you never did it right. Said it felt like a toddler playing pattycakes" Chad said announced gleefully.
"Don't even try to piss me off. We are way beyond that. Just stay out of my life"
"Oh I plan to. I plan on walking out that door and going about my merry way. And if you know what's best, you won't have any crazy hero plans"
As Chad stood up and wiped his lips with a napkin, LTD hit the send key indicating the meeting was concluding.
Having already settled his bill, LTD ambled toward the exit. His job was twofold. To make sure Ricky went straight back to his truck and not go off on Chad.
And to provide backup should some unexpected muscle show up. He started toward the car at an oblique, keeping Chad in his periphery.
Ricky rounded the corner of the building to find Ninemil waiting by his truck.
Penelope looked up from the line of coke she was doing and said "Here he comes, start the car"
