You guys have the knowledge, specs and where-with-all to answer the question. Does governing a Detroit or Cat engine at 62 mph really save any fuel? At 65 mph the rpms are 1500, at 62 mph the rpms are 1400. With the peak power band for torque at 1440 for a Cat I don't see how running under 1440 can save fuel or emissions. Can anyone shed any light on this? Press on
