Yellow stuck it to me today From day one at Yellow, all I've heard is that honesty is the best policy - yeah right. I got a warning letter for my punch sheet not matching my logs within 15 min. Okay not a problem, easy fix. Well, last night I get sent out on a turn, so I make it a point to keep my log up to date to the very minute. I get back from my turn with 6.75 hrs. of drive time and 3.25 hrs. on duty. Oh, surprise! You have to go to Rockford. Dispatch knew that I didn't have enough hours to get back especially with traffic in the morning, and put me to bed.
This wouldn't have been a problem with me had I known that I was going to get a run like this. I'm not whining, because in the end, I am making money - not a killing, but it's better than nothing. However, today they've (Yellow) shown me a side of the company that I didn't care to see. Hell, I live 96 miles away! I'm sure that they could've gotten this "hot" freight here some other way, and if they couldn't have, they could've at least talked to me. Now I think one good "turn" deserves another. |
