Rumor has it that Yellow Transportation managers in CA (TCY and SCA Areas) were given order to layoff 5% of employees "across the board". I heard this through the grapevine from a road driver out of CA and he said that was what they were told when they received the layoff letters! I think this is just the beginning of massive layoffs "across the board" across the country! Let's see what happens with the YRCW stock price next week! Our managers are telling us that the cutbacks that were being planned to take place over the next 14 months are now being "accelerated"! Anybody else heard anything about these "across the board" layoffs out West or anywhere else? Stay informed and FIGHT THE POWER!
