keep an eye on this particularly in lite of all the layoffs recently, A manager read an email to me from a labor guy (M. Rowe, dont know him and never heard of him) that when two or more terminals are merged into a shared service center that the seniority boards are dovetail by seniority however if someone is inactive (or layed off) they would not be dovetail even they might have more seniority than someone at the other terminals. Another manager confirmed that very thing. I spoke to our union hall and they said each local meets with the labor man and negotiates whatever they are going to do. Dont be caught unaware. apparently this is already in place at some terminals.
