Thanx, Whoever thought (Big R or YFS) would be in this position? With this economy no one is safe. Checked other boards lots of layoffs INDUSTRY wide.Good-Luck to all.

This is nothing new there have been rumors going around the industry for years about Yellow and Roadway. It is up to our own sales staff tho counteract these. and get the business.

Everybody is running scared. Everybody is afraid of losing their jobs, whether they are working for YRC, FedEx, GM, Ford or any company right now. So the climate is ripe for all kinds of rumors and negativity. There isn't any good news out there right now, so all the chicken littles are having a feast. And this is the prime forum for them to cackle.

stewart for ups freight...we had pre shift meetings by management to try and get sales leads from YRC customers....public info was released about service issues because of consolidation issues with YRC (according to management to troops) got pulled into TM office and chewed on for advising my drivers they will not go after YRC leads and union carriers are off limits and advised local of situation>>>they(president & BA) responded in person to terminal and advised TM the same. YRC off limits as is any union carrier. Yes we are being encouraged to do this and we are refusing to co-operate with UPS on this.
