The proper response by our City Men, who, are on the front lines, should be, something like "The economy is in a down turn and this is the best time to integrate, since, we have the extra capacity" "This will enable us to give you the most comprehensive service and best value to you and your customers well into the future"
Thats about the most unethical marketing I've ever seen.I didn't know Karl Rove wen't to work for FedEx.

Well, Dean, there aren't any service disruptions going on here... but I been in the office of this business for the past 13 years... first CF, then Yellow , now Roadway... it has pzzin me off for the past 13 years, that, when I came to RDWY, if I say ANYTHING CF, I am shot down like a little quail with a shot gun.... and I got issues in the office all the time, about YELLOW and ROADWAY, and I am in a RDWY office and aren't we both ONE COMPANY for 5 years now people, don't ya get it???? My TM got 30 yrs, my OPS guy got 40 yrs... sometimes the prejudices are hard to kill.......

You can't imagine all the bull*** I had to put up with going from one company to another... It's NOT a semi...it's a VAN... It's NOT a dolly, ITS A JIFF... It's not a PALLET RACK, it's a FREIGHT TABLE..... It's NOT "out of route", it's "wild freight"...

OH ! For pete's sake... aren't we all in the same business, and can't you INTERPRET the language????

Yeah, they have, and some still do, print the crap and promote the crap...... I work in the office, with the sales, and the managers, and the men too.......and I worked for all the big 3.... big bunch of BS when CF went down in the end......... same sh!t...just a different story..... same sh!t tho......

I worked for AF/fredex for 7 years, I can tell you this isn't the first time they have stooped to this level. My wife worked at Southeastern for a while, they were taking alot of fredex freight up in Northwest AR, I guess the fredex sales staff up there got shook up a bit so they started a rumor that southeastern was pulling out of AR, and another that they were going out of biz. I hope that YRC legal sues the piss out of fdx if they are doing anything even slightly wrong. In foodservice there are strict no no's about that sort of thing, not to say it isn't done but I have never ever seen it on this side of the biz. I wish for everyone to succeed, I have friends at both companies, lets hope that employee free choice gets going quickly, you guys might be surprised what happens over at fredex.

I guess I've gotten used to seeing it; I worked at Preston. It seems like Every LTL Company put out the same stuff about us. Just like about everyone did the same about O-Nite, before UPS bought them.
