You work for a union company and you don't think you're trucks are not picking stuff up at the ports, helllloooo. Do you think that big container ship went from Charleston to LA,no it came from CHINA. I love how everything is walmarts fault. You've pissed me off now i'm done with you.
You have to understand that too many of the chest-thumping, head-up-their butt types on this board still think it's 1950 (even if they didn't live through those times)! If they had an ounce or two of common sense and read and learned a little about the global economy we're now a part of, they might realize that we're living in changing times. Third world countries are modernizing and producing like the US did a couple of generations ago. That's the changing world we're living in and we have to adapt. There's no going back to the "old" days and ways.

But what is happening is that the union is alot like the social security plan, there is too much going out,not enough coming in and it is going bankrupt. I have worked for Big R for a short while and the biggest cost to the company was labor. Good luck to all my fellow truckers who are in job crisis and have a good night. I'm going to bed so i can haul chinese made crap tomorrow.

Don't forget GM Ford and Chry.parts on them from Mexico.

That is why the unions are failing,it's not poor management, they have too much going out and not enough coming back in,simple economics 101.
Since you obviously don't know the difference between the "damn" union and the pension funds, to paraphrase Bill Engvall...'here's your site'....
