Lightbulb Mangements Mismanagement Stories

Kennesaw Kid has something here. Maybe if we keep telling our stories here, someone with some COMMON SENSE just may see it and actually try and do something about it. You never know it's worth a try.
Just lately my friend, a city driver was at a good customer of YRC picking up. He was approached and said that they had more freight for him and they needed at leat 26 feet of trailer space. He replied I will bring this load back and since it is close by I will come right back. On his way he was told by dispatch that he could not go back to get the freight he was needed elsewhere and they would be sending someone else there. He repiled Ok but make sure the guy has at least 26 ft of room.
The guy they sent had 6 ft of space on the trailer. Needless to say that company got so ticked off they gave the freight to another carrier.

Happens everyday at our terminal, I'm to the point now I don't even care, seems like they're going out of their way to EF it all up.

got supervisors who don't know what a yard check is. got guys sitting home and freight sitting on the yard. Lazy azzes lift the door up and don't know to check to see where the freight is going. Dispatch tells you to hook to an mty to go make a pick up and there is freight on it.......You just can't fix stupidity in some people and the sad part is they are still getting paid for all their blunders.

Default How about this one

Dispatch sent a man on a 50 mile run with an empty and had him bobtail in. Dispatch sends another man out bobtailling to the same 50 mile destination to bring in a loaded trailer.

They are both on the runs during the same or close to it time frame.

There isn't enough room on the TB for explaining the F##k-ups in the dispatch office.
