Con-Way does not have enough money to sustain the attack all of 2010..because I also guarantee that YRC will be there all of 2010

Its just so sad......All of our companies are ran by people who are not truck drivers or are not truck drivers anymore and dont have our mentality. If we the drivers could give advice and they, the top honchos would take it, I just wonder what kind of shape we would all be in. Sure we are "Just Truck drivers" but we see it all!! WE know the freight, WE know the shippers, WE know the customer and WE know what the customer wants. Why we let people who have no clue as to what it takes to do OUR job, dictate what freight we haul, what cost to haul it , and how we will deliever it when they, in most cases, have no idea what the freight is let alone looks like, but they see BIG volume = Full trailers!!!. Dont worry if it takes twice as long to move it or deliever it or is a high claim liability, just fill them trailers!! EVERYTHING looks great on paper!! If all companies stood together and said with one voice, This is the cost to move this freight! End of story, and let the best company, win the job with thier service performance, not undercutting each other to haul for free. Ths shippers would have no choice, pay what the job is worth, get great service or choose another carrier. WOW, Im just a rolling on and on on top of my soap box. Ill end it here. Good luck to EVERYONE, EVERY driver, and all of our famlies!!

Them dumb truckers are not worth what they are being paid ha ha!

I have freinds that are employed at YRC and talk to them weekly and would not wish this on anyone. Con-way is very good at being prepared to do whatever it takes and I fear that this is only going to put more pressure on an already situatoin. Beleive it or not there are a few guys that work for the competetion rooting for you. Nobody in their right mind wants to see anyone lose their job because of mismanagement. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
