Here in RO we have a new clinic to go to for your physical. They changed clinics because now the clinics have to be listed under some National Registry. Eventually once your physical is done your MED card will be sent from the clinic to the DMV and others electronically. Right now one must go to the DMV and take care of it themselves.
The physical I got was probably the most extensive physical I ever had. I know we all have issues but they scrutinize all issues. I needed documentation from personal physicians and results. Sleep Apnea test was performed.
I was aware what was going to happen so I had all my documentation. 2 hours there for them to log all info in there lap top. I did not have to fill out a form telling them my past. They have it on computer. Not crazy about that but it is what it is.
62 years old and I made it. 3 physicals to go. Just a little info on how the physicals are changing.
Makes me wonder if there trying to weed us old guys out..lol

I went a couple months ago and took all but 15 minutes! Memorized the eye test line while waiting for the doctor, talked to the doctor for 5 minutes afterward and gone!! They electronically sent my paper work to DMV and was done!
 
you must be in PERFECT health. Some of us that been doing this crap for 30 years have health issues. Hearing blood pressure etc. Since it is there start up of this took awhile to log in on lap top all the question and answers. meds taking and all. then the actual physical hearing test with hearing aids took awhile. This doctor said he is responsible and his name goes on the card that he wanted to be sure. Others that came here said it took awhile also. I used to be in perfect shape and health but age and job does wear some of us down
 
Don't think they are trying to weed out older Driver's because they can't get nobody to apply and plus more driver's are quitting now and moving on to jobs with a matching 401-K pension pay !!
 
your right but these things are getting tough for sure. Government rules. Hope I can make 3 more and be safe. Love to retire but my union says no unless a pay a penalty. and with the proposed cuts. one local pension fundi ok as of now the other CS...12 years with this company 360 dollars....lol. good thing I started other investments a while back
 
The 'Fed Med Card' is suppossed to be the same regardless of what clinic or doctor does the testing, as the rules are indented to be the same regardless of the employer. When the Fed Med Card first came out years ago, the employer I had at the time had meetings about the new process, one hint the safety dept stressed was to never ever tell the doctor that you snored, you would be a 'world of chit' if you did. When I drove nights, I snored horrible during the day sleep, but now working day's my lovely bride says I hardly ever snore at night.

64 this February, been driving 44 years! Retiring in April, it really depends on the clinic..

That's not a dot physical we all need to get togeather and file a grevince that we get a dot physical. They don't look down your throat have you bend over twist your body touch your toes and the eye exam goes to line 7. We need to all be togeather because that Mike Hubert is all company

This outfit will not last long doing your physicals.
I would not tell them squat about anything. Their getting paid to figure you out,
