Kind of sounds like Don isn't to happy about New Penn guys getting a little bonus.
Maybe...Don should look in the mirror? Or MAYBE... The CEO should compare Don's managment decisions to that of Holland and Reddaway?
Or maybe they should take a page out of the book of New Penn from the past.24 pallets on the floor and the trailer is out the door. Now it's outbound lets cube out 53' trailers that go maybe an average of 250 300 miles. so it can take an inbound guy 2hours to strip. Increase load factor, equates to less roadmen, more damages.

He talks about service? New Penn is pretty much a next day carrier p&d guys get out late because they

When Roadway bought New Penn they one of the best plans in the history of trucking it was very simple.

LEAVE IT ALONE IT MAKES MONEY AND RUNS WELL! Unfortunately Yellow had a different plan.

250-300 miles? there doing that bullshit for balt. loads out of camp hill, a whooping 92 miles.faultz and his hatchet man swankee, have fired everyone from npme, except schimdt and moser. its faultz and companys yrc/roadrunner mentality that is being shoved down whats left of npme as a company, and has been for last 6-8 months.all these heavier laods is supposed to be saveing or makeing us millions more. in revenue. turning next day lanes into 2 plus more day lanes so they dont have to run a load that isnt falling out the back door. weve lost customers just because of that, they were used to getting next day now hey whenever we get around to it. and hopefully not to smashed up..to me that sounds like alot of other carriers out there. just maybe there already enough low life carriers operating in our area, turning npme into one more doesnt seem to be a good way to grow your company, only way to grow than is cheap ass rates. we used to have a kniche in the market place, nobody could do next day every single night like npme. obviously the direction of the company and the npme ways are being turned upside down. we have been doing it the faultz &swankee way for last 6 months or more, yet we are being told basically we dont deserve the bonus. its our fault for lousy operating company. way to rally the troops, mr. president.

You are exactly right! They are so committed to this high and tight loading of line haul and understand so little of New Penn being next day that now if freight is not loaded on a line haul run by 11:30 IT DONT MOVE FOR THAT NIGHT. It's as though they think NPME is the only carrier in the business so there's no need for customer service. Faust came from Road runner as soon as he came over he tried to raise the rates on them and we lost a lot of the work they were giving us which can account for the lower numbers.

The old days are gone, too many bean counters that think they have the solution.
Overnight delivery concept is lost on these clowns, they are holding to the boss next up in the chain and everybody is afraid of losing their jobs.(management)

The last sentence in the first paragraph is completely wrong. If you read the orginal mou there is nothing that says you must be
employed on the date of payout. As long as you were employed there for the entire year you are entitled to a check. Yrc..Yellow Ruins Companies is like a bad cancer that is slowly killing new penn... Great job YRC...

This is the final MOU and the way it reads your right.

) Profit sharing bonuses will be distributed to the employees by separate check within ninety (90) days of the end of the calendar year. An employee must be on the seniority list for the entire calendar year during which the qualifying operating ratio was achieved to be eligible for a bonus. Any employee who resigns or retires or whose employment otherwise terminates, whether voluntary or involuntary, during the year in question shall not be eligible for a bonus.

Poor management at the top is killing what was the absolute leader of the regional next day. Ltl. And now we are the goats of yrc. Makes perfect sense to me ? I don't think so . change for the worse is your mantra.

no chopernut, not poor management at the top!!! read letter on your saftey tv, foust reply to crtizism of first letter. . its the non-union compition once again kicking our butt. even with 15% give back and 25% pension payments, this new team just cant compete. we havent heard that one in awhile since pre 2007.maybe they though we forgot that reply to everything that doesnt work. ..but the best part is for several years now they advertise free healthcare, to attract some kind of decent workers yet now throwing it up in our face. . like we dont know healthcare is costly and way over priced for just about everybody but congress. since there sending more and more duties of lebanon to yrc to preform for npme, at a highly decreased cost plus our give backs, this crew should be rolling in the money. and of course these 80 new 53 footers that will save npme. from disaster-other than brand and ferrings- not any differant from last batch of new 53 footers. with all this rolling in there favor, it could only be the union work force keeping npme from there top of the line preformance of yesteryear...
