Now, i have to say that:
1) i had to take the entire month of April off do deal with some family issues. So the yearly gross would have been 43-44K-ish instead.

2) i have another part-time gig on the weekends--an easy drop and hook gig so my real year end gross is a little higher as well. Will post that check stub as well asap.

$18.70/hr Overtime after 8 or 40.

Any questions, feel free to ask.

We just did Diad training on HOS while having driving or non driving side jobs. Don't get yourself hung.

Now, i have to say that: what's your point here?

This latest check is not a good indication of what i make per week on average because we had a snow day and thus only worked 4 days that week.

My latest check is not a good example of what i make per week---i cashed out all of my vacation pay. Can you blame me? So the check gross was over $2000. So i decided not to post it. Will resume post next week.

Didn't get tipped this week even though had at least 4-5 residentials.

The other thing last week was i forgot to stop 15-50 feet at a RR crossing and cross in 1st gear as i had about 8,000lbs of hazmat.

Not real happy with the trucks----Volvos and international 9300's. i mean they run well, but i just don't dig the feel of them.

How much was the fine for the railroad crossing?

i switched to linehaul. i love this gig and i think it's one of the best jobs ever----EXCEPT the nighttime hours. And anyone thinking of doing linehaul or is ON linehaul now really needs to think about this. i think this is the most important aspect of the job and if you don't get enough sleep it's just not going to work out.

We unfortunately lost a driver this past tuesday. Chicago area.

i think i will switch back to daytime P+D and take the lower pay, annoying customers etc. The new bid comes up in less than a month and i probably won't keep it anyways as i'm low on seniority. But i'm not really complaining----Even with the pay cut, 65K back down to 50 ish.

However, if i can find a daytime linehaul run i would be hell-bent on trying to get it.
