so we at 104 like to rebid 4 or 5 times or more a year. we also whine when we don't get our way so they change the bid to appease the criers.

fed up with the bs here. od pays nearly $7 an hour more top rate than us. no union dues either.

Then go to O.D.Where Seniortiy means nothing,Pay for your health benefits, work all hours for straight time including weekends and holidays! Oh yea and don't scratch a fender because you might find yourself unemployed!

I had a long response for you but changed my mind. Here's the short version. :poke:The first time you open your mouth about something you don't like at OD you're FIRED‼️ Good luck you will need it

We bid all the time.... More than 6 a year.... We are on our third or fourth now!
Of course doing all those general bids causes: a) loss of several man-days of productivity to conduct the bid; b) upheaval of everyone's life (think child care for the kids of the younger employees); c) disruption of service to the customers; d) a learning curve for anybody who has a new P&D assignment. Any terminal manager who conducts that many bids without a VERY good reason should be escorted off the property PERMANENTLY!

Our bids are done usually to just add someone to ob or ib.... Just simple stuff. People coming back from layoff now. But we will be bidding next month again. Semi annual bids.... You may get a 7$ raise but you will pay for insurance. All LTL's suck. Took me close to 30 years to get that one.... If I had to start over I would have taken the job at Miller's..... Free beer!

We have all bids up right now and the last ones went in effect the week of Thanksgiving‼️Oh I forgot we get to bid again in April for the semi annual‼️

before i left charlotte we bid at least once every 2 months changed bid half an hour one way or the other adding or subtracting a few each time

No overtime and you pay for your insurance, and insurance has a higher deductable and higer out of pocket cap. Good Luck with that!

Once a year, in April, that's it, here in KC per local agreement. Bids get added and abolished from time to time but never rebid the entire list.

So you do a bump down bid? Once a year is a little thin. We bid twice a year and that seems about right.

Im into my 26 year of service and my choice to work nights with weekend off or days and work the whole weekend. And it's straight time . Not sure what terminal you work at but I assure you your only getting overtime pay on your 6 or7 punch doesn't matter what day of the week it is. YRC sucks plan and simple.

YRC pays time a half after 8. You can also miss a day that week and still receive OT if you work over 8 on the other days. The 6th day pays time and a half from the time you punch in till the time you punch out. The 7th day pays double time from the time you punch in till the time you punch out.
Old Dominion pay overtime after 60 hours. So yes I agree YRC sucks, but it sucks less (haha) than OD on this issue.
