Just like the company.
They don't care how big their lies are or if they know they've lied.
Or who knows they have lied.
They still get voted in and get a paycheck.
And we lose our pension. Or will.
Back to page one and start lying again.
It's all politics.... And I hate politics.
Cause you cannot trust any of em.

By the time they are exposed, they have their pension or retirement is in tact. And so they don't care.

Am I partially delirious from fumes in the cab, or didn't Hoffa stand right there 2 years ago with Nylan pushing to get this put in the Omnibus bill, and circumvent the 74 Erisa law?

"Jim Kabell, the President of the MOKAN Conference of Teamsters (Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska) and a Trustee of the IBT, is another Hoffa slate member that supports the CSPF cuts.

In September 2015, there was a rally at our Union Hall to support Missouri's Governor's veto of a Right to Work Law. Hoffa was also at this rally to make a speech supporting our Governor and those that were supporting his veto.
When the car bringing Hoffa from the airport, to the meeting, arrived at the Union Hall, they drove right past a group of us retirees, that were carrying signs protesting the proposed cuts to our pensions. We waved and called for Hoffa to stop and talk to us. Hoffa put his head down, ignoring us, as the car he was in drove past. He also left the rally to go back to the airport without speaking to retirees.

After the rally was over and people were leaving, I ran into Jim Kabell and we had a conversation about the CSPF plan to cut pensions. I told Jim that I had heard from John Murphy, that he supported the CSPF cuts and he said, "yes, that he did support the cuts", because, "that's the only way to save the Fund." When I told him that we (our small, just forming, retiree group) were going to fight the cuts and support Bernie Sander's KOPPA Bill, Jim just laughed and said that would never happen. I told him to go ahead and laugh that he was going to be surprised.

We invited Kabell to speak at our January MKCCPP meeting and he was still supporting Nyhan'$ cuts. I'm sure Kabell was telling his members in Springfield, Mo to do the same."..... WES EPPERSON!

I'm no big fan of Hoffa, however it seems he was against the Omnibus Bill back in December 2014........

"There’s blood in the water on Capitol Hill. Teamsters Union president Jimmy Hoffa, Jr., is out in strong opposition to the omnibus spending bill as Democratic support–and Republican support–for it continues crumbling."

I am wondering if he made that statement with maybe his fingers crossed?

I agree, do not like Hoffa either but......another from Nov 2013 during the hearings.

"For his part, Hoffa wrote a letter to House Education and Workforce Committee Chair John Kline (R-Minnesota), saying the Teamsters can’t support any proposal that would cut accrued benefits of participants and current retirees despite the fact it could potentially prolong the life of plans heading toward insolvency.

Differing from the NCCMP approach, we believe that it is the federal government’s responsibility to solve the problem of insuring the promises made to our retirees,” Hoffa wrote. “The question is whether as trade union leaders we accept the status quo and attempt to maneuver within it, or whether we are prepared to fight for changes that will ensure that the right to a dignified retirement remains sacrosanct"

Bottom line is we need to hire some smarter collage educated people to run the union business affairs !!

Om goodness... C'mon people. We have to get rid of these people and put people in who give a ::shit:: and are not career politicians! Wake up.... Please.
I know all here understand. We need to stop this disease. And that's what It is.
I am so embarrassed to be part of this union. I used to be proud. I don't tell anyone where I work or that I belong in a union. Just embarrassing.
