NJ., is cracking down on distracted driving,a little to hard,however you be the judge.

I have mixed opinions on this topic. I am usually opposed to government intervention in our lives. But I have seen accidents caused by inattentive driving & know of some fatalities caused by texting & other distracted driving habits. In the last few days a friend in his Jeep was hit by a 16 year old girl using a cellphone while driving. This state has a law that prohibits anyone under 18 using a cellphone while driving.

If the government , and cell phone companies actually cared about distracted drivers they would put the technology in phones like our handhelds have, that keeps them from operating when vehicle goes over 10 mph. For now though, it's all about $$$, and people that think they just can't wait to answer that text they just received .....
