Where are all the new trucks?? Have trucks being retired an not replaced all year we are down 10 trucks!! We're told
June will get new trucks 2 no we are only getting 1 but don't know when!!

In the " Your Voice is Heard" podcast one of the bigwigs said that there would be equipment purchases starting in the 4th quarter of this year.

There are two different podcasts ( one fot truckload and one for LTL )

I have no clue what this means, but here goes. In Upper Sandusky, Ohio, there is a drop lot for Conway truckload along US23 an old ford dealership.. For a long time there was only three or four sleepers there and a couple of trailers. Now there is 10 to 15 tractors sitting against the fence and stacked there as if out of service. Can anyone fill me in? Are they replacing the truckload tractors or what ? Good Luck to all. Not trying to be a smart butt here, just saying I noticed this and maybe they are really getting new tractors.

I have talked to a few Truckload drivers and they tell me a few stories.
Their not getting the miles they used to.
They used to have a wash the truck policy and it has been reduced to only wash at terminals with wash rack.
Not able to fill the seats as fast as the drivers are leaving .
They also are not hauling your LTL freight like they have done in the past.

750 to 800 new power units in Q4. They can't lie about that because it had to be disclosed to investors as capital expenditures. I know the shop manager at the fac I run to said they are getting 21 kw's to replace the Sterling's and any problem child

They certainly are still hauling some of it. I don't know whether thats increased or decreased but they are still hauling the LTL freight. I saw atleast 1-2+ XPO/Con-way truckload trailers in the dock doors lastnight at two different large FAC's.

On another note, I don't see us getting Kenworth's. But, heck who really knows besides the big wigs. With our companies history with freightliner and likely some big wig throughout the system one would think we'd get a good deal on some freightliners.

I have saw some brand new freightliners though about 2-3 months ago nothing recently.

I think he means as far as taking LTL shipments directly to the customer.

I could see kenworths as a possibility. Truckload does have them, maybe they are trying to consolidate into a single tractor manufacturer?

Then that manufacturer has you by the nads. Can charge marked up prices for parts. Need to keep some diversity to keep them honest.

We are loading 2-3 CFI/CNWYTL/XPO trailers a night bound for the east coast out of XAU. This only started within the last 6 months.

Don't know if I should like this post or not... So this freight was going on other outside carriers and now it's going on our own in-house OTR carrier? Yeah.

Or did this freight get pulled off LTL to go on our OTR?

I don't see any XPO TL at my barn and we normal get 3 to 5 OTH vans from XAU in a week. Everyone that I have seen looks and smells like a shower is a bad thing to do. Some days you just hope they speak English

I've been seeing tons and tons of XPO branded sets going up and down i80. Saw two NEW Cascadia tractors last night alone, fully branded XPO. When I look over at the Williamsport terminal yard I can see quite a bit of XPO pups sitting there. No long boxes though.

We got our first new, XPO branded tractor this week. We are slated to get two this quarter. It is sitting at our shop waiting to get put in service. Not sure if is for our barn or another in the New England region. Have seen a couple new XPO Tractors in Newburgh, but that's it around here (aside from pups).

You are incredibly bright and I've learned a lot just from reading your comments. I've never thought of that, thanks.

I love you, man. It takes a village to raise an idiot. This particular idiot knows how to shut up and listen. It's amazing how much you can hear when you stop talking.

They are making their way through the system. Seen some sleepers. One had a 15 speed. The other was automatic. Lots going on with rebranding.
