I've been hearing of a few drivers having their assigned International taken away so it can be "demoted" if you will to a city unit, but they aren't getting a 17 series. What are they supposed to do, just find whatever else is laying around? It's not like there is a whole lot of spare equipment, and what there is belongs in a junkyard. Have any of you had this happen?

Yes I know a guy in AP that had that exact thing happen to him and he had to go wonder around the yard and find something that wasn't assigned to anyone. This driver has been here quite a while too and wasn't real happy!

It happned to one of my fellow Atlanta drivers from what I've heard, but haven't spoken to them directly. It was a very nice 26 series in good shape and pulled like an ox on steroids. Kind of a lousy deal!

I had a 25 series and a couple months ago I was in CL and they "took" it for "a pm and evaluation". Dispatcher told me he was putting me in a 14 series and my best bet would be to "drive that truck and see if I like it", we'll I drove it and liked it except the 7 speed tranny, went ahead and had them assign me that one.
I was told by a supervisor that all 25s and 26s would be off LH by end of March first of April. Had a driver who was driving a 16 series and it choked up on the turnpike and crashed (ruled NON preventable) and he had to get a Volvo assigned to him because he also was told they were pulling them off the road.

I've got a 14 as well but it's in the shop most of the time. It's a good truck when it is running, though. Lol

Yeah, Atlanta took mine 3 weeks ago to have the steer tires balanced. YES, they balanced steer tires. Done away with the "shimmy", but took me 2 weeks to get it back because Dale decided to send it on down the road. Other than that and brakes, rear end, fifth wheel, exhaust, and drivers door, it's been a pretty good truck.

Mine's at the shop in Memphis for the rear end. They've had it a couple weeks now. It was a good looking truck until Cincinnati crumpled one of my fairings a month or so ago, too. Lol

They have to replace city Sterlings, by a certain date, that's why Internationals are being "re-classified". The guy who does tractor assignments, said it's gonna be a real nightmare next year.
