That "RUMOR" is almost as old as Yellow Freight, lol.
 
i for one love the fact that truck drivers don't know the difference deutche post and deutche bank. deutche post is DHL, deutche bank is who put up the money for the roadway deal, and maybe usf, not sure about that one.

No its was not DHL,it was J.B. Hunt that bought controlling interest with Wal-Mart floating JB the money.:BlahBlah:
 
Got a C. O. D. shipment from Yellow and driver said he accepts Duces only. Figure thats German money and not the thing the girls from France used in my good old Army days.

Deutsche Post owns DHL. The German government doesn't own them anymore. In terms of revenue, DP is way bigger than UPS.

Deutsche Bank was the Yellow partner for financing the Roadway acquisition.

DB and DP are unrelated other than they both started in Germany.

I don't believe that UPS owns any of DP (thus DHL).

Yep, that's the office I'm in. I check the boards every couple of weeks.

I'll respond to what I can. When it gets real specific to field operations, I'm not much use.

will you please read my first post. deutche BANK is where yellow got the cash for the roadway deal. deutche post owns DHL. they are not the same thing.:ranting2:

That is good to hear. (leaves fruity looking yellow shirts with red collars from past job in bottom of closet where they belong)

Oh come on those yellow and red shirts aren't too bad . I wear one every working day! It's those 100 + stop days that are getting to me !
 
I had 60 on a heavy day, just lots of ground to cover. Some of those were 10 - 15 piece stops, like the hospitals and the university, lots of residential, at the wrong end of 1/2 mile gravel cow paths.

100 stops! Man you guys earn your money dont you ! I think this reminds me as to why I stay in a truck and do not want to drive a package car. Hats off to you guys !(reminder to self "just say no to package cars")
