It’s kind of funny when the nurse and doctor at the clinic that we use to do our DOT physical said to me “ For some reason a lot of Conway drivers have high blood pressure” Really I never made the connection. I’d probably add to that Anxiety and Anger control issues as well.:chairshot:

I have no police record - I cannot relocate because I have kids in school. My wife has a good job also, she is a Teamster with local 688. We are tied pretty tight to St Louis. So relocation is pretty much out

You forgot, If you like to keep your mouth shut, if you like a target posted on your forehead, If you understand that Con-Way comes first, before family and health, if you like to be lied to a lot, If you dont believe senority means anything but job bidding rights, If you like to do company paperwork off the clock, If you like rules to change at your T.M's discretion, just cause he favors someone over another person. Come on we got a job for you!!!

Tripc It's just a job. But we are trying to change that.. We want to make it a great place to be, where people will come and stay forever. I've been here 13 years and have seen it change a lot.. It can be saved if all my fellow co-workers unite!!! Only you can make the ultimate decision, and there is no perfect job out there in my eyes, they all have their own pluses and minuses.. We do make good money but it takes a long time to top out, too long if you ask me.

Do we not have bigger issues we can talk about in our world that are a little more pressing.

i would say go with abf,i just left conway after 10 years.unless you really love working the dock and driving trucks that are a joke.at least youll have a union job and not a company that will take away all the things that made the company worth working for.
 
The short answer is NO Con-Way is not a good place to work for.

They pay 10-20% more that other companies but have 200% more BS.
 
With every one bashing this co, and if you don't like it here, well just leave, and go somewhere else. *I have been here for 10 years so far, and yes their are problems here. You have to take the good with the bad . Its a job if you don't like it then quit, make room for some one who needs a job .
Just remember the grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence
