Hey whatchoo you talkin about, he used a strap... lol

I agree, but in my opinion, this younger generation is much worse. Zero ambition, zero pride in their work, and they don't seem to consider anything a career, it's just another job to them. Back in the day, we didn't look at it that way, we looked at things long term.
It was called. ... taking pride in your work.

I grew up in a family run construction company. ... boy if you didn't do it right you paid for it.

When I started at Holland, we rarely needed discipline because we were proud to work there and had teamwork to boot. Then........it slowly slipped away.
Agree 100% the 'OLD" Holland had pride & Full Pay & waiting line of guys wanting to work for Holland , but now the "New" Holland has no pride & no accountability & nobody wants to work for Holland & lowest pay & very low morale & nobody gives a :crap: anymore !! Holland has become a bottom feeder company .......................................r.i.p. 2019

I actually liked working for the highly disciplined Roadway Express.

RTL and PIE were not highly disciplined, they didn't need to be because all our drivers were far better than BillyLo.
I never had to stand in the corner or stay after work.

A strap hanging there on the wall.......and the lazy bastards didn't use it. With descent management, they could put a stop to this b.s. by checking to see who loaded it and punish them. But that would require follow up and forklift operators being held accountable, so that won't happen. I remember seeing supervisors witness this type of bad loading and all they did was shake their heads and walk away. A Supervisor with a set of gonads can fix this stuff, but there probably aren't any left over there. Bad employee morale and bad management is a recipe for disaster.
