Anyone on here work at the Mt. Pleasant, Pa hub? I’ve heard nothing but great things about it and I’m really trying to get in there. Thx.

Because maybe they could mention it to the hiring manager. A job has been posted for a month so I’m guessing they’re having trouble filling it. Plus it’s a small town and might end up even knowing them or someone we mutually know. Thanks for commenting.

I know some of the drivers there. The management, staff and drivers are top rate. I'm assuming you live in the area, if so, stop in and say hello. It can't hurt...

I've heard that the center manager gets several applications pushed to him from HR when his center has a job posted. He may then choose amongst them.

IMHO, if he can put a face to a name, it might work to your advantage.

My understanding is, you must apply on the internet. There is NO other way. Your information from the application is the ONLY criteria they can use.

Again, that is what I've been told, repeatedly.
Yes, APPLY on the Internet. But it certainly doesn't hurt to walk in there an introduce yourself to the SM. If they'll let you in the front door. And in smaller centers I'd say this is a good bet.

As crazy as it sounds I received an email from their recruiting agency. I spoke with him the next day. I have an interview tomorrow. It’s for a road driver but I really want city. They do have a driver apprentice position open though.

They are going to hire 4 or 5 new city drivers soon

I got interviewed for driver apprentice. Basically 4-7 weeks of training then you become city driver. I don’t have a full year of driving within last 3 because I did a different job with Pepsi for awhile. I think it went well. So you only get 2 paid days off a year?

I believe you get 1 week vacation after a year, but you earn sick time as well and all of the major holidays

Copy the merchandiser.

This is better than Pepsi. Do it, city though! Good luck!

Driver apprentice has a lower pay scale then a normal driver. Take the road gig and transfer to the city when an opening opens.
Get it writing that you can transfer on the first opening. If they say no, tell them you will wait for a city opening, but not for to long. You have bills to pay. Today's marketplace, the driver has the advantage. Use it. von.
