SAIA | Why the massive turnover will continue.

I have 18 years and over 2 million miles accident free. I didn't even stay a whole week because of the Bluetooth policy. I went back to my previous employer. We have drive cam also but it's not used the same as Saia. We have a no bluetooth policy as well but they aren't overbearing about it

My terminal has stopped nit picking and only addresses serious violators these days. Some terminal managers have too much time on their hands. Fortunately my TM doesn’t and actually is a great guy considering how much pressure they put on him. Grace under pressure I suppose.

That's because we getting hard up for line drivers. 5 LH drivers short and drivers needing to go on vacations. It's hard getting time off.

It’s one thing to put safety first but if in that process you start to lose major accounts because of service related issues you will begin to have serious problems. One step forward but then two steps back is no way to run a growing company. The leadership needs to understand that there is a serious driver shortage and dumbing down their hiring process is really defeating the whole purpose of safety.

Poor old Train, nothing but gloom, despair and agony, can't eat, drink, no blue tooth, can't talk to your "good buddies" out in CB land, cameras watching your every move, getting put on probation for nothing, losing drivers by the hundreds, every ones quitting, what to do, what to do.
I don't thing many of you were onboard when Saia started this company, but seems like Saia is not doing too bad without a truck driver at the helm.

I think a lot of your problems would go away, if you just peddle your freight, drive that old truck, watch for stop signs and don't worry about Saia, and most of all, don't worry me!
Personally,I'd rather work for $20 hr, under a contract than $28 and be treated like a 14 year old.
WOW, I gotta stop typing and driving, almost blew a stop sign.

Maybe a bad choice of words, I was looking for the wrath of Train.
Allegedly blew a stop sign. I’m fighting it. Defective device captured that said offense. I’m more concerned with my missing goats found on Old Dominions property in Garland Texas. Do you have any information how they got there?

Sounds to me like you treat stop signs better then you do your goats!!

Passed a Saia truck Saturday morning, coming through Gastonia that was all over the road.He even had 4-wheelers hitting their brakes.I had to take the third lane to pass him and blew the horn at him.Dont know what his problem was but I hope he made it back to a terminal without hurting himself or someone else..
Not an indictment on all Saia drivers but not a good look, nonetheless.
