Dallas is over loaded with new single axle pete's and I hear they are looking for drivers to swap their tandems for these. I love my big truck but maybe it's time to do the smart thing.

Snap a pic and post it if you get a chance. Id like to see what they look like.

I will get you a pic and upload it tomorrow. They were more than willing to accept my donation but a 30000 head load made me realize I just can't do one. I went in today and told him I was flaking out on him. He was fine. I'll boost a photo asap.

I knew you would change your mind. You love that twin screw and the smart thing to do ..... you did. Keep that bad boy. She looks good on you. I seen you going down Loop 12 the other day. Man she's sweet. I had to put my sun glasses on to tone down the glare coming off those chrome wheels you just polished.

I know, right.

Scranton has had 4 of the single axle petes for probably close to a year. Little complaints with them and they are in the garage far less than the junk International twin screws. Most tractors at our terminal are getting switched since we were the main connecting point for New England before the double 48's started

We wont be seeing any up in Hartford for a while. It seems all our old junk tractors are still too low in miles. That may be but a lot of them are rotting away. Eh, what do I know, I'm just a stupid truck driver. LOL

Got mine a couple weeks ago.

We recently got these at our terminal, How do you like the wingman system and that 12 speed tranny?
My biggest issue with the wingman is I think the following distance should be set to 1 second instead of the 1.5 seconds. Other than that, the speed limit sensor is a bit annoying but Im getting used to it. As for the transmission, Its way better than the one I had in my last tractor which was a twin screw Prostar. That thing was a dog.

The speed limit reader is definitely annoying, especially when it yells at me in school zones when school is out! And I agree on the following distance, in heavy traffic it’s annoying as all hell. And I too love the transmission, it shifts quicker and is much better for backing, and I don’t know if you noticed, high range reverse works on these new automatics, just bump up the stalk. I’ve been driving these quite a bit, I’m kind of our shops guinea pig, they have me use them before they send them to other terminals, I’m just waiting to get one actually assigned to me.

What trucks do you have for system drivers? Are they leased or owned? I go for an interview next week. Trying to find out how good the health insurance is like deductibles and premiums and such. You can pm me if you don’t want to put it out there. Thanks!

International prostar and Pete 579 sleepers, mostly automatics, I don’t think there are any manual transmission sleepers left in the system, and R+L owns all their trucks outright. I hear the insurance is decent, I don’t use it myself.

At our barn, the system drivers all have Prostars, only the teams get the Petes.
