ok I was in the Pennsylvania area about a week ago and I saw a ABF trailer being pulled by a Arc Best sleeper truck. What’s up with that?

They run teams out of Chicago & other points when they have business. As to the name on the door? Who knows? If the have the authority (they do) they can put just about any name on the door. Confusion by the rank & file means more money for ABF non-union companies. AND, even if you did file on it, you won't find ANY support from the IBT @ ANY level. Past practice by the IBT proves that. von.

Oh ok cool. Yea I wasn’t sure if you guys started to run teams or something like on the ABF Union side.

No they do not. No teams in Orland for several years now.

That's a surprise to me, too.... I thought both coasts had team operations....Didn't know they ended East Coast teams....

UPS/UPS Freight have kind of a similar problem with their equipment being so....similar. ..UPS management is looking to "blur the line" between Freight and Package,......and play one group off against the other........to the companies' benefit...(..Of Course!...)....

Look in the future for ArcBest logo trucks to have a tiny "Leased to Panther, Inc." under the ArcBest door/trailer decal.......Sooner or later, it will be impossible at a glance,...to tell the Union trucks from the non-Union ones......

At least,....until they start crossing picket lines...........

I had applied to Pantwr almost a year ago and the recruiter asked me about unions and can I pull doubles and have I pulled doubles before. So who knows what plans they have in the pipe line

The plans are obvious, Brother..........Cut as much work away from those "overpaid" Teamsters,.....and shift it onto much lower paid, no pension, minimum health care "Cheap" workers.......

That adds to the corporate bottom line, and makes the shareholders dance in the streets and visit Mercedes dealerships..........

Who cares about company reputation, or competency, or public safety?

Investors happy? and profit rising?... until a contract year. Get rid of that damn profit! We'll find the damn drivers!

nice lake houses in the background...must be paying more than ArcBest?

Yeah,....but one of your neighbors drives for Werner............

Oh, well.....He's probably home only a couple of times a year working for Werner to afford "living" there............

....(.....long enough for him to go fishing, anyway.....).......
