Yrc has deferred pension payment to 2023 so now Yrc employees will get the same pension benefits at 65 that other plan participants receives at 57 welcome to yellow freight.

You are exactly right but, he wouldn’t have been around for 20 years if he told members we were going to have to cut pensions in order to survive.

The blabber mouth running against him would have been telling members “I’ll Make sure they will never cut your pensions” and blabber mouth would have been elected.

Politicians have to tell people what they want to hear in order to stay in power.

SURELY YOU DON'T BELIEVE YRC WILL MAKE THOSE PAYMENTS IN 2023. AFTER 2019 I CAN ENVISION YRC NOT MAKING ANY PAYMENTS TO THE PENSION. ALSO EMPLOYEES WILL PAY A CONSIDERABLE SHARE OF THEIR INSURANCE. JUST AN OBSERVATION.

EVEN THE 1994 STRIKE WE HAD GUYS READY TO CROSS THE LINE AND GO BACK TO WORK AFTER 3 WEEKS. 2019 IS A DIFFERENT ERA AND PEOPLE WILL NOT GO ON STRIKE AS IN THE PAST.

I am within a couple years of retirement and my vote is no to concessions, always has been and always will be. Makes me mad to be stereo typed as a yes man because of my age. Not worried about finding employment with a 30 year safe driving record and no tickets. We at holland are now working for a paycheck just like any other job. Not like a couple more years is going to secure our future and who knows if I had to change I might get to work in the daylight. Maybe the city guys will roll over because they are afraid of the dark and if you look at the abf vote city vs road there might be something to that.......

of years left too, And I'm not caving either. Honestly, I'm figuring on being somewhere else this time next year. Hopefully enough of us vote with our feet. See how their driverless truck fleet works out. We've got a lot of them now even though they have people sitting in them
 
It is not so much as the city guys soiling their panties as it is having the wives doing the voting and wearing the pants because they want the old man home daily. Also I should have made the point a road job can be replaced any day of the week. A good local job that pays anything is a bit harder to come by. Sorry I should have elaborated a bit more not trying to pick any fights here.
 
Nah don't worry about it, we're all in this together. You are right about the wives. Fortunately, it's
only me and the missus. for the younger guys with kids it will be interesting. I'm sure the letters we start getting
will be directed at the wives, telling them that we REALLY make 45.00 bucks an hour, if their hubby's vote no,
company is done, etc. Gee honey, you better just take what they're offering.
