SAIA | Leaving..

You too not surprised I have never worked at a place that goes out of it's way to make it this hard to work for. Good luck. Their are many more that are going to follow your plan.
Just never leave a job for the wrong reasons. When you run to escape BS you often find you run into even more BS. Leave for the right reasons and leave on good terms.

Inward facing cameras would be a good reason,imo..
And many feel the way you do. I get it. I just don’t think it’s that big of deal. XPO has had them for years. What has made them a pain in the ass is the company has weaponized them when they said they wouldn’t. That’s what has caused the massive turnover. I know what not to do and learn from my mistakes. They really make me more aware and safety oriented. Everyone is different. Like I said though .... I get why many can’t stand them.

really? wasn't so long ago you were cock suckering the cameras when you blew a stop sign and were told you were on probation.
It pissed me off but I’m not on probation now. That policy was changed. In the big picture it’s not a big deal Joe. The worst thing this company could do to me is fire me and that’s not a big deal. My life will go on. When one door closes another one opens. As long as I have my health I have everything I need.:coffee1:

I feel sorry for every Saia truck I pass now.
Why? Nobody is bound by who they work for, It is their choice . No driver is contractually obligated to stay where they are at , it is a choice. You made a choice to leave and others choose to stay. Dont feel sorry for those that make a choice that is best for them. Just be happy with your decision and dont feel sorry for us. We will be just fine.

Some guys have different tolerance levels. All the new hires we have been getting lately haven’t been in the the LTL business. But they soon will be corrupted by the current senior drivers. This is a good paying job and many of the newbies are very happy now. The culture here is changing and they can’t hire their way out of the predicament they are in. I know this business. I’ve been in LTL for 45 years. I’ve seen everything and I know exactly what they are attempting to do.

Could be just a rumor, but I hear Saia is trying to get Texas to abolish stop signs.

We all were newbies at one time, I myself came here with a great positive attitude, willing to give 100% just like the happy ones but slowly over time it eroded no matter how hard I worked or cared. Showed up every day, never complained, went above and beyond and it was if they looked for things to drain me. The harder I worked the worse it got. Not in my core to be a slacker. So who’s to blame, certainly not the senior drivers,(they just have been screwed longer) I blame the power hungry pricks that can’t see past there computer to the real world around them. Still claim somewhere behind all the bs, the company is good but it’s the worst place(can’t call home anymore) I’ve ever worked for and it’s THERE fault!
